Mayor Garcetti Opens L.A. Manufacturing Event

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti spoke at the opening of WESTEC, a major manufacturing showcase, at the L.A. Convention Center Tuesday morning.

The purpose of the two-day event is to promote manufacturing growth in scientific advancements in the city.

Garcetti was joined by NASA Jet Propulsion Lab engineer Adam Steltzner, who is the lead mechanical engineer for NASA's Mars Rover project.

Manufacturers from around the nation come together for WESTEC to explore the latest breakthroughs in technology.
