USC men's water polo Kostas Genidounias was named MPSF Player of the Week for the second time this season.

USC junior Kostas Genidounias was named MPSF Player of the Week following his performance this past weekend. Genidounias snags his second MPSF award of the season and third of his USC water polo career.

The USC men's water polo notched two big wins this weekend with victories over California and Pepperdine. Genidounias led the Trojans comeback over the Golden Bears in Berkeley scoring five goals. His fifth goal of the game gave USC a two-point advantage in the fourth quarter. The No. 2 ranked Trojans held on to defeat the No. 5 ranked Golden Bears 11-9.

Trojans returned home the next day to take on the No. 7 ranked Long Beach State Waves. USC was led by redshirt junior Rex Butler who scored four goals, while Genidounias scored two goals. The Trojans defeated Pepperdine 13-3.

Genidounias is USC's leading scorer this season with 65 goals. His performance this season ranks him as the seventh player with the most single-season goals in the programs history. Genidounias has also moved up to No. 6 on the all-time list in career scoring at USC. He has scored in every game this year.
