LAUSD Discusses Common Core Technology Plan

LAUSD defended their Common Core Technology Project that would provide students with their own tablets.

The Los Angeles Unified School District held a special meeting Tuesday to address its controversial iPad initiative.

The Common Core Technology Project is a $1 billion plan that will provide all LAUSD students with tablets that cost upwards of $700.

While LAUSD believes the project is essential in closing the technology divide in education, criticism that the plan is too ambitious has already pushed back the completetion deadline by one year.
