Monday Motivation: Nike Training Club

Workout just like the pros at Nike Training Club.

Nike Training Club at the Lyon Center was developed by Nike professional athletes and trainers to give the same functional workouts they use during their training.

"It's a full-body workout that's sports inspired," said instructer Daralisa Kelley.

The class includes high-intensity exercises and challenging athletic drills, but it is fit for all skill levels.

"While it's high-intensity, it doesn't have to be high-impact. If we're doing a tuck jump, you can also do high-knees," Kelley added. "There's always a modification."

Nike Training Club is only offered at the Lyon Center on Wednesdays at 5:30 PM, but there is an app for smart phones for anyone to download so they can do the same workouts on their own time. The app allows trainees to choose a workout goal and a fitness level. Whether the workout is done in a gym or at home, it is bound to break a sweat.

"You're constantly moving throughout the whole workout," said sophomore Amanda Gray. "There's not really a lot of rest time, so it kind of just keeps you going."
