Walmart Workers Want Better Pay and More Full-Time Work
UPDATE November 7, 2013 2:00pm
Wal-Mart employees continued protesting in Chinatown in downton Los Angeles on Thursday, demanding a $25,000 minimum annual wage and better treatment for workers.
This two-day series of protests against Wal-Mart started on Wednesday, when more than 100 employees and their labor advocacy group called "Our Walmart" gathered in front of the store in Paramount.
On Thursday, the group's campaign released a new website where employees can anonymously express their concerns.
The website provides a map of various Wal-mart locations that have developed protests.
"Our Walmart", which is connected to the United Food and Commercial Workers Union, also organizes public Facebook pages for Wal-Mart workers.
