Erin Brockovich Speaks to Underprivileged Students
Environmental activist Erin Brockovich spoke to more than 200 UCLA students Wednesday morning about the importance of education.
Brockovich, who's known for the eponymous film and book, joined the Clinical and Transitional Science Institute and the Institute for Molecular Medicine's mission of providing educational opportunities to students.
During the hour-long discussion, Brockovich said awareness is the key to helping young people change their lives.
Brockovich rose to fame for her work as a legal researcher in helping bring litigation to Pacific Electric and Gas.
