Snapchat Plus College Life Equal the Perfect Match

Snapchat launched a new initiative on Thursday, "Our Campus Story," a college-centered version of the app’s popular feature "Our Story." The new feature is available at USC, UCLA, Penn State and the University of Texas at Austin.

Unlike "Our Story," users of Snapchat’s new feature will only be able to watch and post stories while on campus. Snapchat plans to regulate each campus story, only allowing the stories that meet the company’s official guidelines.

The company says story views have passed the number of snap views each month. Snapchat is also considering putting short advertisements between every few snaps. This would satisfy the many advertisers who are trying to access Snapchat’s young market of users who check the app over 14 times a day.
