Toa Lobendahn: "We Didn't Execute Enough."
The USC Football team could not hold on to their momentum as they were dealt a devastating loss at home to the University of Washington, 17-12. The No. 17 Trojans (3-2) took home their second loss in conference play to the Huskies. On offense, the Men of Troy, struggled throughout the game, scoring just one touchdown in four quarters and giving up 5 sacks.
After senior center, Max Tuerk was taken out the game with a sprained knee in the first half, sophomore offensive guard Toa Lobendahn stepped up to take his place. He spoke after the game about switching positions and taking over for a veteran player. He also discussed the Trojans' execution problems and in looking forward to next week, Lobendahn said the team will have to have a better sense of urgency and will use practice as a time to focus and move on.
Now the Trojans will prepare to hit the road for a non-conference game at Notre Dame. The USC Football team will travel to South Bend this weekend to take on the Fighting Irish on Saturday at 4:30p.m.
