"Spotlight" Red Carpet Premiere In West Hollywood
On Tuesday evening, actors and journalists came together on the red carpet to celebrate the release of the new motion picture, Spotlight.
The screening for the highly anticipated film took place at the DGA (Director’s Guild of America) Theatre in West Hollywood. The cast and crew, as well as family and friends, graced the red carpet outside of the theatre before entering the venue for the evening premiere.
The movie, directed by Academy Award nominee Tom McCarthy, pays tribute to the members of the Boston Globe investigative team that won the Pulitzer Prize for breaking the story of sexual abuse allegations in the Catholic Church.
Depicting the team’s yearlong investigation, Spotlight not only tells the story of secrets and lies held within one of the world’s most established institutions, but also illustrates the struggles journalists deal with daily.
Spotlight reporters, Sacha Pfeiffer, “Robby” Robinson, Michael Rezendes, and Ben Bradlee Jr., who are portrayed by Michael Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Mark Ruffalo, and John Slattery, made appearances on the carpet with nothing but good things to say about the film. The star-studded cast also includes Liev Schreiber, Brian d’Arcy James, Stanley Tucci, and Billy Crudup.
Spotlight premieres in Los Angeles and New York today.
