Trojans Talk Loss in Pac-12 Championship to Stanford
After a season full of ups and downs, the USC Trojans made it all the way to the Pac-12 Champtionship, only to lose to Stanford 41-22. Although the Trojans fought hard, they weren't a match for Stanford's Heisman favorite Christian McCaffrey. McCaffrey rushed for 207 yards, received 105, set a champtionship record with 93 yards in a quarter on 11 carries, while also throwing Stanford's first touchdown. USC WR JuJu Smith-Schuster had a personal best 11 receptions, and freshman Ronald Jones had a 27 yard third quarter touchdown. In the end the Trojan defense wasn't able to put a stop to the explosive combination of McCaffrey and Stanford quarterback Kevin Hogan. The Trojans will look forward to taking on a bowl game in the near future.
