General Motors Testifies Before Congress
The chief executive officer of General Motors, Mary Barra, testified before congress Tuesday about a faulty ignition part that allegedly led to 13 deaths.
Barra faces harsh criticism for not implementing a recall sooner for the safety defect. She was recently named CEO of GM back in January, but problems with the ignition of several GM vehicles began more than a decade ago.
The ignition defect that has led to the recall of millions of vehicles is reportedly very inexpensive to fix.
"The people responsible for this, should pay for this," said Bobby Oliver, a concerned driver.
GM has offered drivers affected by the recall $500 to buy a new car.
